Tainted Love

So with the fall upon us, many are looking for new, hot dating prospects in their wards.  Many BYU students look around their wards only to find that the hottest girls are often in hair/beauty school or that the guys actually go to UVU or are just working for APX.  Devastating, I know...but does it really matter?

Here's a little survey to pry into how we all really feel about those who weren't blessed with the capacity to attend BYU.

So, clearly hair/beauty school girls and pretty much everyone at UVU is at a disadvantage (in more ways than one)...unless you buy into the idea that ignorance is bliss.  After all, sometimes its a lot of pressure being at such a prestigious university.

Also, you'll notice that the guys are considerably more picky (based on the fact that girls weighted the UVU issue towards "Yes, of course".)  What are we missing guys?  Why would they even consider resorting to UVU?

  1. It could also be because some of the people who enjoy Overheard and see these things don't go to BYU. Some of us were turned away or found that UVU offers a higher caliber program than BYU does.

BYU is not the be all end all of higher education, and those people who refuse to even date someone because of the education they've chosen need to come down off their high horses and accept the reality that many wonderful men and women, faithful saints with strong testimonies (possibly stronger than BYU students since they don't need to be babysat by their school) DON'T go to BYU.

    Sheesh.

  2. So does this make you more or less likely to pursue a girl from BYU? Are girls/guys from BYU just prudes? What can we do to be more humble?

  3. I don't care where a girl goes to school at. She could go to the U for all I care. Where you're educated at doesn't make as much of a difference, as what you do with it.
